Lacquer Cherry Fuki Urushi Serving Spoon 75 by Fujii Seisakusho

Fuki Urushi is a method of finishing by wiping with paper after applying lacquer.

Fujii Seisakusho is run by Kenichi and Minako. Kenichi is in charge of the design and woodwork, and Minako is in charge of the urushi lacquering. They aim to create works that makes the most of the materials wood and urushi. The shapes of their pieces are very simple, but pay attention to detail to create beautiful shapes that fit comfortably in the hand.

Size approx. 7.5cm wide 21cm long

After use, please wash with soft sponges. If you want to use cleanser, please use neutral dish detergent. To keep lacquerwares in good condition, we recommend you to wipe the water drops off with dry cloth after washing. Avoid soaking it in water, or using it in the microwave, dishwasher, or refrigerator. Natural lacquer is easily affected by ultraviolet rays and may discolour, so please use it indoors. You can put food and sweets on it and use it like any other plate.
