Mänty Cups by Stine Keinicke
Mänty Cups are a part of a ceramic tableware collection designed by product designer Stine Keinicke. The ceramic pieces are made from split wood. During the design process Stine uses wood and an axe as her only tools to create shapes for porcelain slip cast. The grain of the wood dictates where the wood will split and therefore leaves nature partly in control of the design. The Mänty collection has a satisfying tactile imprint of the spilt wood grain and is perfect for a cup of coffee or tea. *Please note that the cups are not dishwasher safe.
All cups are made in porcelain in the UK. The Cups and Mugs are roughly 8-9 cm in diameter and 7-8 cm in height.
*Cups are slightly different in shape and size due to their hand made quality.
Stine is a Danish product designer based in London. Her work is often seeking new ways to utilise materials or manufacturing techniques to create functional design with a tactile interaction.⠀
All proceeds from products sold go towards supporting our After School Club educational programme for state school students.
