Gravity Ruler by Unit Lab
A simple desktop object that combines letter scale and ruler to demonstrate the relationship between distance and weight. By balancing the ruler on a table edge, users then place an item at one end and move the tool back and forth to bring it into balance. The point at which the ruler balances is the item’s weight.
Based in Peckham, South-East London, designer duo Cindy Strobach and Mike Vanis of Unit Lab, make products that take science out of the lab and bring it into people’s daily routines. They work with UK producers and sustainable materials to create curious products that become alive in your home.
All proceeds from products sold go towards supporting our After School Club educational programme for state school students.
