MOHAIR BALLYS BY AFTER SCHOOL CLUB STUDENTS
Crochet Balaclavas made with hand-dyed and locally sourced mohair yarn.
This After School Club was guided by artist Kimberley Cookey-Gam . Students designed and made a balaclava applying traditional techniques and sustainable materials into a contemporary wearable product. Students learned how to design, construct, pattern cut, stitch and customise a balaclava to their needs ready for winter.
All products made during the After School Club are sold with royalties going to a cause of the students choice and other proceeds supporting our educational programme.
