£75.00

Plastic Baroque by James Shaw converts recycled thermoplastics HDPE into objects using the hand-held plastic extruding gun he invented. The unique look of the Plastic Baroque Dessert Spoon refers to the baroque period with their extravagant structures.

Stainless steel flatware dessert spoon made in James Shaw’s workshop in South London with hand extruded recycled HDPE handles. Approx 18 x 4.5 x 2 cm. Recycled HDPE plastic with hand formed 304 stainless steel.

James Shaw is an explorer of the material landscape with a hands-on approach. His work aims to interrogate the material, systemic and formal approaches to the creation of objects. Frequently his work considers the resources around us challenging the notion of ‘waste’ to create new beautiful materials.
